The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association has been recognized as the representative organization for overseas Chinese in the United States. CCBA was created and managed by representatives from the following seven associations.

  • 3/2/2017 - Mr. Tam, President of Shue Hing Benevolent Association, is newly appointed President of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Tam will serve this assignment for the next two months.  
  • 2/28/2017 - The CCBA and United Way of Bay Area will hold an Annual Fundraising Banquet on June 29, 6:00pm, at the Far East Restaurant, Chinatown, San Francisco. This event will benefit eleven non-profit Chinatown agencies to provide better and more services to the community. Individual and community organizations are encouraged to participate. For further information and detail, please contact Mr. Wing Lau, Executive Secretary of CCBA at 415-992-6000.  
  • 1/2/2017: Inauguration of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association Presiding President was held on January 2.   Mr. Bill Wong will serve as the Presiding President of CCBA for the month of January and February of 2017.  (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.)    
  • 12/24/2016: Mr. Bill Wong of Ning Yung Benevolent Association is the newly appointed Presiding President of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. The term will start from January to February of 2017. The ceremony will be held at the CCBA Hall, San Francisco, on 1/2/2017, 5:30pm.  
  • 12/23/2016:  A Christmas Party was held at Wah Yuen Restaurant, California St., San Francisco, CA by Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association.  This event was exclusive for all CCBA Presidents, Secretary, Board of Directors and their spouses.     
  • 12/20/2016:  Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association held and provided a free luncheon for over 600 seniors.  The event took place at Victoria Hall, San Francisco, on 12/20/16.
    Mr. Thomas Yuen, Presiding President of CCBA remarked this meaningful event for seniors each year; and sent his best wishes to all attendees. He also thanked the Presidents group, Board of Directors, CCBA Women Club to help making this a successful event. (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.)    
  • 10/18/2016:  Mr. Thomas Yuen, President of Yan Wo Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed Presiding President of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association.  Starting from November 2, 2016, Mr. Yuen will serve for the month of November and December 2016.

      
  • 9/2/16: The inauguration of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association Presiding President of Dr. Hal G. Gin of Ning Yung Benevolent Association for the service of September - October 2016 was administered an oath by retired Judge Lilian Sing, and monitored post by SF Police Commission Mr. Victor Hwang. (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.)   
  • 8/27/2016:  Mr. Hal G. Gin, President of Ning Yung Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed Presiding President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association.  He will serve this position for the next two months (Sept. and Oct. of 2016) and this is also Mr. Gin's third term of presidency. The ceremony will be held on 9/2/16, 5:00pm at the CCBA Hall.  
  • 8/17/2016: The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association's Presiding President - Mr. He, President - Mr. Gin, Secretary of CCBA - Mr. Wing Lau, Advisors - Mr. Steven Louie and Mr. Ray Tsoi, Ms. Lori Alkire of UWBA, and the 11 beneficiary agencies attended today's press conference. The purpose of the press conference is to distribute funds from the recent fund raising event.  
  • 8/7/2016: The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and Secretary attended a press conference by Chinese Newcomers Service Center. The Presidents agreed and supported the Center's street cleaning program. They are requesting the City to continue to fund this program to maintain a clean environment in Chinatown.  
  • 8/2/2016:  The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and the Chinese Consolidated Women Association co-sponsored the 17th Annual Scholarship Award was held on 8/2/16.  Presiding President, Mr. He; President Mr. Gin and Mr. Yuen gave speeches to encourage the awarded students to continue their hardworking, to thank for their parents, and dedicate to the society as well as the community in the future.   • 7/17/2016:  Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association's Presiding President, Presidents, Board of Directors and Secretary attended a community meeting at Chinatown Portsmouth Square to support San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee for his service and there should be NO RECALL.  Presiding President, Mr. He also spoke on behalf of CCBA to show support.  
  • 7/4/2016: The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association held a Flag Raising ceremony for the Fourth of July. Presiding President Mr. Wai Ming He, President Mr. Hal Gin, President Mr. Steven Woo each made a speech for the event. Attendees included members of CCBA Board of Directors and hundreds of invited guests. Refreshment was also being served after the event. (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.)   
  • 7/2/2016: Presiding President Mr. Wai Ming He swore in his service for the month of July and August 2016. President He made remarks and thanked his guests for attending the ceremony. Honorable guests included the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China - Mr. Luo Linquan; former Judge - Ms. Tang; State Assemblyman - Mr. David Chu; CCBA Presidents: Mr. Hal Gin, Mr. Yuk Lun Loo, Mr. Hong Wing Chiang, and Mr. Thomas Yuen; the Board of Directors and members of Sam Yup Benevolent Association as well.   • 6/28/2016 - Mr. Wei Ming He, President of Sam Yup Benevolent Association is the newly appointed Presiding President of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Starting from 7/2/16, Mr. He will serve for the month of July and August 2016. 
  • 6/6/2016 - A press conference was held by Chinese Athletic Association and sponsored by Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association for the event of America Independence Volleyball Open Cup, on 6/12/16, 9am- 6pm, at Wong's Playground located at Sacramento Street/ Waverly Place. This Open Cup will have over 12 teams from other State/City to compete for the Cup. 
  • 6/4/2016 - Presidents of CCBA, Deputy Consulate of People's Republic of China, Directors of CCBA and more than thirty honorable guest attended a graduation celebration of Central Chinese High School in America, San Francisco. 
  • 6/2/2016 - The 75th Anniversary Fundraising Banquet was held by the partnership of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and United Way of the Bay Area.  Ms. Amy Chuang and Mr. Wing Lau, Secretary of CCBA, were the M.C. for this event. Speakers included Mr. Steven Wo (President of Hop Wo Benevolent Association; he represented the presiding President, Mr. Hal Gin) and Ms. Ann Wilson, CEO of United Way.
  • 5/19/2016 - Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and United Way of the Bay Area joint to hold a press conference to announce a Fundraising Banquet for the Chinatown non-profit agencies. Presiding President Mr. Gin , President Kwan and President Loo wish all Associations to support this charity event.

  • 5/19/2016 - Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association joint with the Chinatown Community to hold a celebration banquet for Theresa Mah, daughter of former CCBA President - Raymond Mah, be elected as Chicago, Illinois District 2, State Representative.
    The banquet will be on 5/27/16, 6:00pm at New Asia Restaurant. For more details, please contact CCBA Secretary Mr. Wing Lau at 1-415-982-6000 or Mr. Raymond Mah 1-415-816-2237. 
  • 4/30/2016 - Mr. Wing Lau of Ning Yung Benevolent Association is the newly appointed Executive Secretary of CCBA. He will replace Ms. Lydia Yeung and perform duty of the Executive Secretary until April 30, 2017.  (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.)  
  • 4/21/2016 - Mr. Hal G. Gin, President of Ning Yung Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Starting May 2, 2016, Mr. Gin will serve this position for the month of May and June. It is also Mr. Gin's second term for this position.  
  • 4/21/2016 - Mr. Wing Lau of Ning Yung Benevolent Association will be the newly appointed Executive Secretary of CCBA. Starting May 1, 2016, Mr. Lau will take over Ms. Lydia Yeung's daily duties, including assisting the President, handling correspondences, income and expense reports, etc.  
  • 4/12/2016 - CCBA and Chinese Consolidated Women's Association will hold the 17th Annual Banquet to honor a group of special Mothers on May 7, 2016, 6:00pm, at Far East Cafe, 631 Grant Ave, San Francisco. You are cordially invited to join and support this event.

  • 3/24/2016 - In honor to the newly Police Captains - Paul Yep, Daryl Fong and Gregory Ma promotion, Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association will host the Celebration Dinner Gala along with the Chinatown Community on April 21, 2016, 6:00pm at Far East Cafe in Grant Avenue, San Francisco.   • 3/21/2016 - The CCBA and United Way of the Bay Area will hold the 74th Annual Fundraising Banquet on June 2, 2016, 6:00pm at New Asia Restaurant, Chinatown, San Francisco.   • 3/4/2016 - A memorial service for Mr. Albert Chin, ex-President of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and ex-President of Kong Chow Benevolent Association, will be held on 3/6/2016, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Victory Hall, Chinatown, San Francisco.  
  • 3/2/2016 - Mr. Yuk Lun Loo, President of Yeong Wo Benevolent Association, is newly appointed President of Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Loo will serve this assignment for the next two months.  
  • 2/14/2016 - Newly crowned Miss Chinatown USA 2016 and the beauty pageant delegate visited to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association on 2/14/16, was greeted by the Presiding President Mr. Hal G. Gin, together with President Mr. Steve Woo, Mr. Hong Wing Chiang, Mr. Wei Ming He, Mr. Keng C. Kwan, Secretary Lydia Yeung and board members and association friends.   • 1/29/2016 - The Mayor of City & County of San Francisco, Hon. Edwin Lee, will visit Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association on 2/8/16, 11:30am. He will say " Kung Hey Fat Choy" to all of the CCBA Presidents, Officers, and residents too. You are all welcomed to join on the Chinese New Year day. 
  • 1/2/2016 - Mr. Hal G. Gin, President of Ning Yung Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Gin will serve this assignment for the next two months.  
  • 12/18/2015 - At the CCBA annual Christmas Dinner Party on December 18 with over 100 guests and board members attending, Presiding President Albert Chin together with five other presidents presented a pair of calligraphic paintings to Judge Lillian Sing for her and Judge Julie Tang’s contribution to CCBA over the years. (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.) 
  • 12/18/2015 - The CCBA annual Christmas Free lunch program was held on December 18 at Victory Hall in Chinatown.  Over 600 seniors were served by volunteers from various organizations. (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.) 
  • 11/2/2015 - Mr. Albert G. Chin, President of Kong Chow Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Chin will serve this assignment for the next two months.  
  • 10/31/2015 - Five prominent Chinese-Americans were honored at the Banquet to Celebrate the 63rd Overseas Chinese Festival hosted by Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and Chinese Consolidated Women Association in Chinatown on October 16, 2015. Nearly 500 guests attended the event. (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.) 
  • 9/2/2015 - Mr. Song Ming Ma, President of Ning Yung Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Ma will serve this assignment for the next two months.  
  • 7/4/2015 - The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association held a flag raising ceremony to celebrate the American Independence Day on July 4 at the CCBA Headquarter Building. (Please refer to the Activities Photos Page for detail.) 
  • 7/2/2015 - Mr. Steven Woo, President of Hop Wo Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Woo will serve this assignment for the next two months.  
  • 5/29/2015 - CCBA and the Chinese Consolidated Women’s Association will hold a Scholarship Awarding Ceremony in July of this year. Scholarship will be awarded to qualified graduating high school seniors. Application form for the scholarship is available at CCBA. All Bay Area high school seniors are welcome to apply by June 30, 2015. (Please refer to the Application Form for detail.)    
  • 5/21/2015 – The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and the United Way will hold a Fundraising Campaign.  A Fundraising banquet will be held at the New Asian Restaurant on July 9.  This event will benefit eleven non-profit Chinatown agencies.  Individuals and community organizations are encouraged to participate.  Further information can be obtained from Ms. Lydia Yeung, Executive Secretary of CCBA, at (415) 982-6000.  Please also see Invitation and Reservation webpages for detail.  
  • 5/2/2015 - Mr. Song Ming Ma, President of Ning Yung Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Ma will serve this assignment for the next two months.  
  • 5/1/2015 - Ms. Lydia Yeung of Yan Wo Benevolent Association is the newly appointed Executive Secretary of CCBA. She replaces Mr. Wing Lau and performs duty of the Executive Secretary until April 30, 2016.  Ms. Yeung is also the first female Executive Secretary in CCBA‘s 161-year history.  
  • 3/20/2015 - The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) recently presented a check in the amount of $6,276 to Feng Fang, assisting her and the family after her husband, 伍健聰 Wu Jian Cong’s tragic death.  This check was in addition to $29,853 that was presented to Ms. Feng Fang on February 1. Through the coordinating efforts of CCBA, the community has rallied to donate over $36,000 to the family.   
  • 3/2/2015 - Mr. Keng C. Kwan, President of Shue Hing Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Kwan will serve this assignment for the next two months. 
  • 3/1/2015 - Led by Rose Li, newly crowned Miss Chinatown USA 2015, the beauty pageant delegate's visit to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association on March 1 was greeted by Board President Mr. Ma Song-Ming, together with Presidents Steven Woo and Albert Chan, executive secretary, board members and association friends.   • 1/26/2015 - CCBA held a press conference to seek donations for helping the family of 伍達聰 who was gunned down in Visitacion Valley on January 20.  Few thousand dollars donations have been raised during the press conference.  According to Mr. Wing Lau, Executive Secretary of CCBA, anyone can send donation to CCBA for the Ng's family. 
  • 1/2/2015 - Mr. Song Ming Ma, President of Ning Yung Benevolent Association, is the newly appointed President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. Mr. Ma will serve this assignment for the next two months.
